Hammock
When you think of vacation, what you are really thinking of is
escaping to a world of relaxation .... where time moves slow and
full... where your everyday cares fade into the distance.... Y ou
don't need a vacation... you need a hammock! And why not make
it a double and create a private world for just the two of you?
Double
Hammock
Everyday is a vacation with a hammock. Summer time and
life is good! This roomy, cotton hammock will sway you gently in
the summer breeze. Float above
the ground and watch the clouds go by. Listen to the bird songs and
the soft wind swishing through the leaves. Take a breather and let time stand still for a while.
This hammock will comfortably hold two people, with a 440 lb. capacity.
100% cotton rope on a wood frame, metal loops for hanging. There's no
better way to relax! 82 in. x 108 in. long.
Please note that this hammock is designed to be hung between two trees or poles.
You will need two long eye bolts (or screw hooks) in the poles
(trees) or two lengths of rope to tie around the tree(s). A
chain link connector will be needed between the eye bolt and the
hammock metal loop. Poles, hooks, connectors, and ropes are not included.
Hints for hanging a hammock: Position the poles far enough
apart that the hammock will hang empty about 4 - 5 feet off the
ground. For heavier weights in the hammock, it may need to be
higher. Remember that the hammock will sag with the weight of
the person(s) in it. The eye bolts should be heavy duty and
the body of the screw long enough to support the loaded hammock
weight while staying securely in the pole or tree.
Alternatively, you may use ropes or straps around the trees to hang
the hammock - this takes a bit of skill to use properly and stay
positioned. However, the rope/strap method is great for
camping! Trees should be at least 12" in diameter.
Recommended pole size is 4"x4" and ideally will be anchored in
cement. Test the hammock for sag and tipping before
finalizing the height and distance apart of the eye bolts (or
ropes).
Getting in and out of a hammock is a story in itself. For
getting in, try sitting on the edge of the hammock and gently
leaning back into it. Then swing your legs in. For
getting out... well hey, who wants to get out of a hammock once
they've gotten comfortable? Nonetheless, you can try coming
out feet first and then sort of rolling and standing up.
